Ronnie O'Sullivan Wins Welsh Open with Magnificent 147 Break

Ronnie O'Sullivan in action

Ronnie O’Sullivan looked in amazing form this week as he comfortably lifted the Welsh Open snooker title in Newport last night with a 9-3 win over China’s Ding Junhui.

Going into the match Ding had already won four ranking events this season and was probably deemed the man in form, but we all know from experience of watching snooker over the last 10-15 years that when his head is in the right place Ronnie O’Sullivan is simply unstoppable.

He proved it again last night, after leading 7-1 after the first session Ding did manage to pull a couple of frames back meaning Ronnie led 8-3, then O’Sullivan won the match with a stunning 147 maximum break, the 12th of his professional career and the most by any professional player now after besting Stephen Hendry’s 11.
