Eliminate Miscues the Easy Way!

Eliminate Miscues the Easy Way!

So much more often do I receive questions from customers regarding cue tips. The general question is which is the best one?

In the UK we have for years been using Elkmaster or Blue Diamond pressed leather cue tips as that is what the professional players use. The problem is that with the pressed leather tips the consistency varies across a whole box of 50. More of my customers are buying boxes not just to save money but also because they know that they will have to sort through the box to find the good tips.

The times are changing and with better technology comes better and more consistent cue tips. Layered leather tips have been around for a number of years but have mainly been seen in the American Pool disciplines, that is until British national Tony Jones came along and changed the leather cue tip forever (in my opinion!).

Tony, who now resides in Thailand, owns Talisman Billiard Products. They make the finest layered leather cue tips available on the market that are scientifically proven to reduce miscues and give a more solid and consistent tip.

These cue tips were again originally designed for the American Pool disciplines but after more research Talisman have released cue tips for the English Pool and snooker market.

Never before had I seen a 9mm or 10mm layered leather cue tip and now what is more important is that Ronnie O'Sullivan and John Higgins have been using these tips in competitions further demonstrating the quality and control that they provide. Furthermore Talisman have made available different hardness grades to suit different types of player. The soft tip will give more spin and control whereas the harder tips give more power, but require a much more accurate cue action.

The Talisman Cue tips provide the following benefits:
  • No mushrooming
  • Require little maintenance.
  • Superior ball control
  • Precise side spin and masse
  • Greater consistency
  • Holds chalk for longer
  • Last longer than standard pressed leather or single layer cue tips

What this means is that you can have greater personal confidence when playing your shots and you will know that your cue tip will not let you down.
